Description
The 740 Cabin is a 29 m² tiny house built from separate, lightweight elements. Everything is connected with nuts and bolts, without glue or welding. You can take the house apart later and rebuild it somewhere else. Mister Muratori, an architecture and design studio in Arnhem, designs every house for the place where it will stand.
The house
- 29 m² of insulated living space for 1 to 2 people, with a covered outdoor area.
- Insulated to new-build standard: Rc 6.3 for the roof, 4.7 for the walls and 3.7 for the floor.
- Steel base, Douglas fir treated with tung oil, plywood interior and HR++ glazing. The insulation is a natural or recycled material; we make that choice together in the quotation.
- Assembled on site without a crane or heavy machinery.
- No concrete foundation needed. The house stands on a light foundation that is determined per location.
To live in
We design the kitchen, shower and toilet to measure, along with the installations. If you want to live (partly) off-grid, the house can be fitted with solar panels, a battery and rainwater collection. These are options we work out per house in the quotation.
Price
The shell starts at € 100,000 including VAT: the steel base, the timber structure, the facades, the roof, the glazing, the insulation and the finish. Kitchen, bathroom, installations, foundation, transport and assembly and the connections come on top. They depend on your location and your wishes, and you receive them as an amount in the quotation.
