the fri:dom building kit is a co-creation-based building system in which you determine your own level of participation.
we believe that shelter is an essential human need that should be a foundation for a self-determined life rather than a life goal.
with this central idea in mind we want to provide people with the opportunity to connect themselves with the creation of their own affordable, ecological home.
- you can choose from 9 standardised models - or create you own design entirely (see pictures)
- after that, you have the choice between one of our three finishing levels (base, shell, or turnkey - from raw to finished)
- prices for fri:dom units start from 19.000 EUR (incl. construction report for building permits, building assistance and the custom drawing-hours
- together with your friends/family our building team will erect the wind- & waterproof frame of your house within 2-4 days
- our fri:dom units can be built mobile (transportable via lorry) or ground-bound on a foundation
- the integration of second-hand materials is made possible as you can choose your own positions of windows and doors within the frame, which can give every house its own unique look
- we exclusively work with certified european pine wood and promote the usage of bio-based building materials (wood, wood fibre insulation, sedum roofs)
- all our constructions are calculated for a lifetime of at least 50 years and can comply with the Dutch/European building codes
- our delivery times are 8-10 weeks after ordering
