Hello Tiny House lover,
We are Eva and Marcel Bastiaans and are working on an initiative to place 7 off-grid Tiny Houses in Venray on the Weg in den Berg. The application in principle has already been approved by the municipality.
Our concept is that we rent out the land (approx. 200m2 private, approx. 200m2 shared space; total plot 1600m2). The plot is located in the center of Venray in a wooded area, close to facilities such as public transport and shops (bus connection and supermarkets within walking distance). You can then place your own Tiny House on one of these lots.
We are currently applying for a temporary change of the environmental permit from 'green' to a destination that allows Tiny Houses to be placed. This is temporary because the municipality wants to cooperate by means of a pilot for a maximum period of 10 years (more information can be requested via the website of the municipality of Venray; guidance on special housing types - Tiny Houses building block).
After the environmental permit has been granted, it is up to you as future residents to apply for the building permit. This is based on the conditions stated in the environmental permit application. This enables you to build your own Tiny House within the set frameworks.
The costs are not yet fully clear, but the rental price for a plot will be somewhere between approximately 4,000 and 4,500 Euro on an annual basis (for 200m2 of 'own' and 200m2 of shared use).
