You know best what works and what doesn’t work well in a Tiny House when you have lived in it yourself for a while. That certainly applies to Tiny House builder Ramon Blok, owner of TinyBlokHouse. During the corona pandemic, he lived with his family in a house of 40 m2 and he actually liked it very much. Now he and his team of 3 people are building one house after the other: in two years no less than twelve TinyBlokHouses have left the workshop to offer a lovely new home to satisfied customers.
Ramon: “I sometimes say: ‘less is more’ and this really is true. The less stuff you have, the more freedom you will experience. Living in a Tiny House with my family has increased my passion for this way of life. Because I have a lot of experience with building and also really enjoy guiding and helping others in this, I set up my company in 2021. The name TinyBlokHouse is derived from my last name.
It is very important that you dare to follow your dream because if you don’t, you can never know or experience what it is like to just do what makes you happy. So dare to live your dreams because life is too short to let it pass any other way. This is one of my dreams: to build Tiny House.”

Unique people, unique Tiny Houses
TinyBlokHouse attaches great importance to the wishes of the customer. They listen carefully to the story that each Tiny House dreamer brings along, and translate that into a house that fits like a tailor-made suit.
Ramon: “It goes without saying that we deliver custom work, because every person is unique and that’s how I see the Tiny Houses as well. It shouldn’t become a ‘one sice fits all, there are enough of those already and personally I don’t like that. Our company listens to the customer and he or she can design his or her own house, but if desired our customers can also help build their own TinyBlokHouse.”
At TinyBlokHouse you can therefore decide for yourself to what extent you want to participate in the construction of your Tiny House. You can order your house completely turn-key, or as a shell that you finish yourself, but you can also choose to build together with TinyBlokHouse. Building part of your house is a good idea if you have a limited budget, but also if you like the idea of building build part of your house yourself, but lack confidence, time or knowledge to do it all yourself.
Ramon has a preference for building Tiny Houses On Wheels (THOWs), but the company also builds houses on foundations. All houses are built in the workshop and then transported to their destinations.

Possibilities for sustainable building and off-grid installations
You have complete freedom in what your TinyBlokHouse will look like. Of course, TinyBlokHouse is happy to help you make the countless choices that come with a building process. Do you want an extra sustainably built house, bio-based and with recycled materials? They can build it for you. TinyBlokHouse mainly builds with sustainable wood and sheet piling, but the customer decides.
Even if you want to be partially or completely off-grid, anything is possible. Ramon:
“We are experienced builders and can make all the preparations for off-grid installations, so we can take into account the pipes for the solar panels or the drains that are necessary so that a water tank can be connected to it. We have the off-grid installations mounted by the Off-grid center, because this is really specialist work for which they are qualified.”
The process from start of construction to delivery takes between two and four months, depending on the wishes of the customer. Currently, space has become available for a construction project in the very short term, so grab your chance if you can decide quickly! You are welcome in the workshop in Nunspeet where you can see at least one TinyBlokHouse under construction. TinyBlokhouse also regularly organizes open days that you can visit, which you can find in the TinyFindy agenda. The next open day is February 11th.
